BE TRAINED AND CERTIFIED in Hybrid & High-Voltage Vehicle Dismantling!
VARA is excited to offer our members a chance to send dismantlers to exclusive hybrid and high-voltage vehicle training on July 19, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM led by Salvage Wire expert Andy Latham.
For years, Electric Vehicle Technicians have had access to certified training across various competency levels. However, until now, no equivalent training has been available for Vehicle Dismantling Technicians.
While vehicle repairers are trained to diagnose faults in Electric and Hybrid vehicles, safely disable high-voltage systems, repair or replace components, and restore functionality, dismantlers require a different skill set.
This specialized training equips vehicle dismantlers with the knowledge to assess Electric and Hybrid vehicles, store them safely, decommission high-voltage systems, dismantle components, and properly manage parts for reuse, repurposing, or recycling.
The training is WAMITAB accredited, and participants will receive a certificate upon passing the final test. Pre-registration is required.
WE’RE ALSO OFFERING AIRBAG HANDLING & SHIPPING CERTIFICATION!
If the hybrid and high-voltage certification doesn’t apply to you, we’re also offering Airbag Handling & Shipping Certification from 1:30 – 3:30pm led by Sara Hamidovic of VET Environmental.
Discover how to safely ship airbags in accordance with all relevant rules and regulations, ensuring the safety of your team. Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a training certificate.”
